6th grade- i wore the basics, chap stick and mascara


7th grade- i could wear natural colors in eyeshadow, mascara and eyeliner.


now i wear natural colors, because i was taught that u always want to bring out your natural beauty, never look like a clown. so i wear tinted moisturizer, brown liner, brown mascara, and chap stick.How old were you when your mom let you wear make-up?
I was always sneaking it on during and after 6th grade, but only mascara. I was always allowed to wear lipgloss though.





7th grade, I started sneaking on eyeliner, but in the end I just asked her if I could wear make up and she said yes. She was thinking of pink eyeshadows and stuff like that, but I was talking more about heavy eyeliner xD (I dressed very ';Emo/scene'; in the 7th grade which is why) and we would always get into arguements about it but I still wore it.





In the 8th grade I wore eyeliner the same way, but we stopped having problems with it, and i wear a little less now, but more gold eyeshadow and stuff.





If/when I have a kid I'd probably let them wear lipgloss and stuff at any age, but mascara, blush, and eyeshadow when they are 12 just because if you don't know how to apply stuff like this properly, it could make your eyelashes fall out (mascara did that to me once) and be bad for your skin. For my 11th birthday, my mom gave me a Mary Kay party. I was in 6th grade. I was allowed to wear light colored (pink or brown) lipstick, neutral blush, and powder everyday after that. I was allowed to add eyeshadow and mascara in 8th grade.





I plan on doing the same for my daughter.





However, with the makeup also came skin care. My mom bought me cleanser, toner, and moisturizer so that I would be able to take care of my skin properly. It is never too early to let your daughter start taking care of her skin. Just make sure to get her something that is for sensitive skin.

In every make up the most important thing are the eyes and to make them look natural but noticeable I suggest you to use a liner or eyelash mask together or separately. I think that's all.

Shave them off. It's the only way. But you'll be going aroudn without eyebrows for a while. You can always draw them in, or just shave them off for halloween and say its part of your costume. THEN draw them in. so when people ask 'why are you drawing them in' just tell them you shaved them off for halloween. Maybe you can be blue man group for halloween. or mexican.





Anyway, you can also do what the other people do and just use an eyebrow pencil to add definition. But ya, if theyre really that thin, you should shave them :)

Are you saying there's a half inch gap now? If so, you really need to address it, as the toilet should rest on the tile for stability. There's big trouble ahead if you don't. The only way to really fix it is to remove the toilet and reset it - which is actually pretty easy.





When I re tiled my bathroom I had too much of a slope from the new toilet, and I had to set extra tiles and mortar them in at the gap end, tucked under the toilet. They make a flange specifically for this reason..in all home depots lowes etc..it simply fits into the old flange and raises it to the height you need..simple glue in..go to thier plumbing department and let them know what you need
Oops! Check with your local hardware store, Lowes or Home Depot or a plumber. But I think you should have removed the flange, tiled up to the hole and re-installed the flange or put in a new one so it sits on the tile.

i walk into petsmart i see people looking at cats, dogs, and fish. I walk into the shopping centers and into stores you can tell they want it but they cant make up their mind about getting whatever it is their looking at. Is it money, is it they must ask their spouse first, what is it? What is so hard about making a decision weather to do this or that? or get this or that?Why is it so hard for people to decide and make up their mind? what would you say is your reason?

It's not that one brand is better than the other it's whatever she likes. Your daughter probably likes MAC because it's a really trendy brand right now. If she wants to wear MAC make her buy it. Or tell her you'd pay for the covergirl price and she has to come up with the rest on her own. My mom used to do that. I refused to wear anything but clinique because my skin broke out so bad from anything else but my mom would only give me like $10 for a foundation but the clinique foundation was like $20 so I had to come up with the other money on my own.





Personally I don't like MAC because the people who wear it usually have it caked on and I like the natural look. Yep the makeup is nice but in my opinion it's the same as what covergirl is. I like clinique because in my experience it really is completely hypoallergenic which is what i need cuz i have really sensitive skin
Definitely! Brands like MAC use much better ingredients than Cover Girl and Max Factor, which come at a higher price. MAC is much less likely to make your daughter break out or develop skin irritations. The makeup is finely milled with expensive pigments, which give you a more natural, dewy look and blend well with the skin. As a bonus, MAC is also not tested on animals, unlike Cover Girl and Max Factor.
I'ma let you in on a little secret....





It is all the same!! The only difference is the fragrance.





Up scale brands have a finer scent to it....a more expensive fragrance.

I am a mother of 2 teenage daughters and know exactly what your going through n :-)





Mac is a very thick and heavy makeup that is NOT GOOD FOR YOUNG or OLD skin because it clogs pores and breaks you out on the same side to be fair MANY of the drug store brands have loads of problems because they are made with products from china that are cheaper and not regulated which is a huge problem as well. Cover Girl and many other similar brands also clog pores and create a dull complexion.





I use an excellent product line called Bee Luscious Cosmetics, I put both my daughters on their medicated acne products because precisely they both developed horrible acne from using all those products because they feel they need it.

I've tried lots of them. Bare minerals makes me itch cuz of the bismuth oxychloride in it. Plus it's a heavy metal and very large particle size mineral. It has to be buffed buffed buffed into the skin. This can lead to cystic acne, and I've heard of lots of people this has happened to on different makeup forums.


I use LA Minerals now, and it's fantastic. No bismuth.

Its one thing for your skin to be one solid color but if your undertones are strong just as much its hard to find a perfect foundation shade.

bare esentuals is really good, but there is also a cheaper solution, Almay just came out with a make up that adjusts to your skin tone, im not sure what the exact name of it is, but it should be pretty odvious

I recommend you try the Yves Saint Laurent make up base called ';Complexion Enhancer Oil Free';. It renders the skin perfectly matte and absolutely radiant. I recommend one shade lighter than your actual skin to get full effect. After that, you can apply ANY foundation from ANY brand and your skin will still look absolutely perfect. Ok,, so I am 13, so I can relate.


Yes, make up is acceptable for 13 year old girls. You just can't exceed certain limits.


Mascara is good, unless you already have dark, long lashes. Don't go to wild with colors. Lipstick is harsher (in my opinion) on the overall look for teens, so I'd stay with lip gloss.

*If you feel like you need more, a fun, but not wild eyeshadow is good, Also blush never hurt anyone. :)

okay, here is what i would wear makeup wise, first put on a light foundation (i recommend a tinted moisterizer) and some cover up on your blemishes and dark spots, then take some bright blush (i recommend a berry shade from clinique, or for less expensive cover girl) and put the blush on the apples of your cheeks, then take a light irredesant shade of eye shadow and put it at the corners of your eyes, then take a bright shade of shadow(i recommend purple, blue, or green, but not pink cause of the pink blush) then take an eyeliner pencil and line the top of your lashes, to top it off some thick black mascara, and a sheer lipgloss
whn i was thirteen i wore makeup. not too much to look too trampy but definatly enought to look cute. If ur skin breaksout definatly consider foundation, it works miracles if u add conceler before. also highlight ur cheek bones with a soft pink blush. Eye wise add eyeliner+mascara to make ur eyes pop.. too much tho could do a wrong effect. eyeshadow do a soft purple or pink becase thoes are great for beginners. just practice alot n rember to have fun! only do this for your self tho...
very little!! most girls wear HEAVY eyeliner, but try to stick with eye shadow and mascara. if you need help picking out the make-up go to the CLINIQUE counter @ the mall ask them do your eye shadow and mascara. a little goes a long way. a natural look is way better. ;)
Make up is fine for a thirteen year old! The most important thing is to apply it properly - find the right colours for you and don't go overboard! Think subtle and classy!

I have to point out before I say anything else that celebrities who appear on the cover of magazines are airbrushed to DEATH - in other words, even they don't look as good as themselves on the covers of magazines! I've included a link below to give you an example of a before %26amp; after shot with airbrushing.





I also have to point out that many of these women have professional makeup artists who do them up before they go anywhere they will be photographed - Victoria Beckham, as an extreme example, is best friends with her makeup consultant and literally has the woman follow her around all day so she can touch up her makeup! Normal people do NOT have time to constantly be adjusting their makeup all day.





That being said, there are a few tricks you can try...redo your makeup every hour or so to make sure you get rid of smudges and faded makeup. I would get a cute little makeup bag to stick in your purse. As for perfecting your look, head to a department store and set up an appointment for a makeup consultation - they're usually free, and one of their trained people will do your makeup for you and show you how to get that look. With practice you can get pretty close to what they do - and if you can't afford department store makeup, just remember that you don't have to buy everything or even anything they use - you could buy one of the products or none of them, and then find similar replacements at the drugstore.

One of the problems you are running into is the photos being retouched before their placement in the magazines....and that is the source of most of your problem.





Another problem ishaving a smooth ';canvas'; to apply make up to. To this end you should try a make up primer. Not just any primer though. It should one that prays on in a fine mist and has no oils. When it dries it will tight tem the skin a bit without drying it out!
Ok firstly, magazine pics are ALWAYS retouched. Don't think for one second that if you ran into the person in the street they'd look like that.





Try only doing things you think will work with your features. For example, if you have small eyes, don't try the dark eyeliner tip with the model with huge eyes, etc. You sound pretty young, all you really need is mascara and a nice shiny pink lip gloss, trust me.
Try a natural mineral make-up. It goes one silky smooth and looks great every time! Usually matches your skin tone better too. There are many brands. They do cost more than the stuff you can buy at the drugstore though. I think it's worth the extra cost. My 17 year old always looks great and the mineral make-up does not cause her acne to be worse which is always a plus. Hope that helps.

First to accent your eys, use eyeliner on the top and bottom lids, and use the darkest mascara you can. Also try a lighter lipstick so that the attention will be on your eyes and not lips and nose.





Next, use a bronzer and gently sweep it on the sides of your nose to make it appear less wide.

Wet the tip of eyeshadow brush and use dark brown eyeshadow as eyeliner! top and bottom. brush black mascara on top lashes only. trying to get more on the roots than on the tips. You always want to use colors that will enhance your natural eye color. This helps to open up your face and draws the attention up to your eyes which should be the focus point.





Use a medium color on the lids, a dark color in the crease, and a light color below your brow. You may want to use a tan or light brown, then a spin off of whatever your eye color is ( I have blue/gray eyes so I use a somewhat navy blue shadow in the crease) and then a white to light tan shadow on top.





Use black eyeliner if you have brown or black eyes and brown eye liner if you have blue or green eyes. Only line the top lid; this makes your eyes seem bigger and more open. To add to this effect, use whatever eye shadow you used right below your brow to accent the inner corner and right below your eye before putting on mascara.

Liquid foundations, as long as applied lightly and properly, can definitely help. The best way for dewey skin, I've found, is going almost natural. Use a liquid blush, too, as powder blushes usually do the same thing as powder foundations. Basically the most important thing is to use a good blush and bronzer on the high apples of your cheeks to give your skin a natural look, and to steer clear of too much makeup.


Try light pastel pinks for a blush, too, as that will suit spring and make you look flushed without overdone.

-Apply a shimmery white shade of eye shadow on your entire lid. Dip a Q-tip in water and pat it on a paper towel so it is only slightly damp. Dip it into the same shimmery white. Trace along the inner corner of your eye, smudging it all along your bottom lashes.


-Draw a thin line from the inner corner of your top eyelid to the outer corner with black liquid eyeliner. Wing it out slightly.


-With a stick eyeliner, lightly line the outer 1/2 of your lower lashline, giving it a ';smudgy'; look.


-Curl your eyelashes and apply 2 coats of black mascara.





Cheeks


-Apply a peachy shade of blush to the apples of your cheeks.





Lips

Red is already a loud color. So try to not to much make-up on your face. Stay with neutrals on your cheeks,eye shadows and just apply a a nice shade of red lipstick. Apply a bronzer and a luminizer to give your face a sun-kissed glow. It works well with red.

or i could just give us all fake names i just need to know if them names go together or if there are any characters in another book that have some of these names in it together!I'm writing a book do our names sound good together or should i make up new ones?
I think those are great. Especially if they're your actual friends' names. They sound cute together. You need to have a variety in names. You can't have a whole group of friends with the names:

The names are perfect. You can name them whatever you want. (You could name a character Waldorf Salad if you wanted to.)





I like to give my characters names I like or unusual names and more often that not I pick names that match the characters personality or are similar to the events the character faces.





I like all the names though. Especially Ashlyn and Julia.
If the story is based on a true story, then why not keep the names! I really love making up my own names tho, so if I were writing it, I would make my own. But you and I are i bet, pretty different people. Also if it is based on a true story, then I would keep the names, the true names of your friends.

I envy you. If the only problem you have with writing a book is the character names you must be a genius!

Step 1: Prime your eyes, I use cliche eye primer





Step 2. Use a thick black liner (nyx sells good eye pencils) and cover your whole lid. Then tape your eye from the outer corner up, so that you will make a defined winged line.





Step 3. Take a dark black shadow and go over the liner, to set it. Then wing out, covering the tape if you need to do so.





Step 4. Highlight





Step 5. line your lower and upper lashline





step 6. curl lashes and apply masgara

You start with a charcoal eyeshadow over the lower lid. Highlight just below the brow with a frosty/shimmery white or silver. Then do the outer corners and the crease with black shadow. Line the top and bottom eyelids around the entire eye (above AND under the lashes) all the way into the corners. Then finish with 2 or 3 coats of black mascara. Voila! Smokey eyes!
I don't know, but if you ask people on Youtube, they will show you how to do it. You can try to search for Michelle Phan. She is a really good makeup artist.
You take $$$ and buy makeup and then practice using this:
black eyeshadow, highliter (for the eyes), and lots of eyeliner

i want natural/glowing looking foundation a bit like this, please tell me a step by step process.

I usually end up beginning low end and using a few different ones. Do what fits your situation and Im pretty sure your gut will be best.How do I get my make up like this?
For makeup, I would recoment Clinique. Maybe the Even Better Foundation, which is oil free but gives you a 'dewy' look. Finish with a translucent loose powder, to keep your makeup in place and control shine.


For the eyes, I think a black liquid line on the top eyelid would look good. Start off thin, then make it a bit bigger as you reach the outer part of your eye. Dont put it right up to the inner corners of your eyes.


Get a golden brown, slightly shimmery eye shadow and dust it lightly over your top eyelid, around where your liquid line is. Then blend some along your lower lash line.


With an eyeliner pencil, lightly darken your bottom water line (the line 'inside' your eyelashes) from the outside to about 3/4 of the way in. Too much will look too harsh.


Get a white or very light eyeshadow and put it on the inner corners of your eyes. This will brighten them and make them appear wider.


Put on a few coats of mascara, and curl your eyelashes.


Finish with a sheer pink lip gloss for a natural looking lip. Anything too dramatic and your lips will be competing with your eyes.

ok, well the first step to glowing skin is the skin careroutinee, if you have very dry skin, you something which has marshmallow extracts and aloe vera etc





so, first wash your face with whatever you have bought, make sure it specifies that it is for dry skin!





then, you want to exfoliate gently, dont use a shop bought one, they are much to expensive, and most have irritating perfumes and the like:





SUGAR AND LEMON EXFOLIATOR:





the juice of half a lemon, mixed with two big table spoons of sugar.





rub it gently all over your face, using circling motions.


after about a minute, wash it off gently with warm water and a flannel.





splash your face with cold water to restrict the pores and then apply a toner.





use a night cream, if your skin is very dry, i would reccomend the body shop's ';aloe soothing night cream'; its very creamy and thick, and it makes the skin glow, and it makes flaw less noticeable as well, concentrate around the eye area, gently massaging it in with the ring finger.





then, use a primer, it will make the skin appear glowing, and also keeps the foundation on for longer, i would reccomend benefits ';that gal'; its really smooth and gives a glowing complexion





then, apply a foundation using a sponge, if your skin is very dry, use a foundation with an spf, and moisturiser built in. i would recommend the body shop's ';moisture foundation spf 15';





finsih off with a concealer over any flaws and blemishes, search the market here, you need to try out a fair few before you find the right one, some companies offer samples, so you can use it for a few days and then decide whether you like it or not.





finish off with a coloured eyeliner on your water-line and two coats of mascara, keep the eyes toned down, you want the attention to be on your skin.
