The Americans should feel ashame of not winning even one game in the first round before they were out. Whereas the Aussies did well. Just imagine the two nations with the same mother tongue had another soccer game - guess which team will win? I am for the Aussies. Yes, the Americans should regret about that - for sure.

First of all, most Americans do not care about soccer or the World Cup. Second, I don't know of any Americans who said that. Third, Australia is so insignificant, that it is not even in our thoughts. Is that OK?

I'm not saying Italians are not good enough..what i'm trying to point out here is that US had actually won a match....Thanks to the ';great'; refree we drew to the italians..You could even ask the italian fans if they were happy with the refree and his stupid decisions..fancy sending 3 players off...thats CRAP.....The REFREE had gone MAD...and the US managed to play great even with players like del piero, cannavaro in their opponent...So the US they deserve to go in the second round too...So u got ur answer??? it is a big ';NO they don't regret';

I Think the American`s should regret saying that. I watched Australia`s match against Croatia and most of the time I thought the Socceroo`s were playing against 12, then their was the rugby tackle,the three yellow card incident and to cap it off the goal referee/extra Croatian player Graham Poll refused to count. The socceroo`s played a very good game it`s a shame they did not get the result they deserved in my opinion

It was not the American people that said that. Bruce Arena made that childish and inaccurate comment and he has many things outside that he should be regretting. Such as how he let his players and their supporters down in the most disrespectful way.

Football is a funny game where the margin between success and failure is so small. Australia are a good team, who can beat anyone on their day. They are not a super-power, but they should be treated with respect.
I don't think the ';Americans'; can care less about what we said, it's apparently the people who wait to make a cheap shot at the US who care. We lost, so we moved on, but it seems like alot of people can't stop bringing it up as if it makes you feel superior or something. I'm sure if we actually cared alot about Soccer as the rest of the world we'd probably manage to do alot better, however we have other sports we invest more time and energy on. And yes we did win a game, it even says it on the site, why not check it out next time you say that stuff.
