Well you cannot be taught how to become an inanimate object.





However, to become a makeup artist or cosmetologist for regular makeup such as in salons or weddings, simply taking a one year (or certificate) course is all you will require. But most important if your talent and skill. Even if you went to school to learn about makeup application, it does not mean that you will be a talented cosmetologist.





For things such as makeup for movies or plays, it may be one year or more, it depends on the school.How long do you have to go to college for to be a make-up cosmetic??
usually 6-9 motnhs. it's not reallt a college its like a school usually from 8am to 5pm 5 days week.
Probably like four years.
