Should a 11 year old be allowed to wear make-up?

Ok i am 11 going into 6th grade and i really want to wear makeup, only mascara and eyeliner, most of my friends do. But my mom wont let me, please give me ur opinionShould a 11 year old be allowed to wear make-up?
i think that lipgloss and mascara is fine for 11 yo





eyeliner, i think that's pushing it.... i'd wait til next year for that. i would let your mom know you are mature and responsible. don't expect for her to pay for your makeup and do chores around the house to show how responsible you areShould a 11 year old be allowed to wear make-up?

It is a bit young. You are still a child so enjoy it. There is plenty of time later to wear it. Besides it looks a bit freakish when kids wear it too young.

I think you should start wearing make up at 13, or 14. But very, very, light makeup.

when i was in the 6th grade girls did where make up but i always thought it was weird and made them look older [ in a bad way ]

It's because in the future, your friends faces will be worn in wrinkly when they're older because they started wearing makeup too early! And you mom wants you to stay beautiful so stick with lip gloss until a couple years. And trust me, it'll be worth it :] (makes a HUGE difference)
well i think you should only where mascara and lipgloss and if you're going to a party, wear eyeline with mascara.
When I was eleven, I was only allowed to wear lipgloss


I personally think that eye makeup should wait until your 13

i think that curling your eyelashes is an alternative.





I think you should be allowed because a long long long long time ago when I was 11 i just curled my eyelashes and wore mascara.





I think that your mom should at least let you wear a little bit of mascara.





And if she ends up letting you wear both, stay away from black eyeliner at that age, unless you aplly it on very lightly, go for gray or brown.
if its not heavy eyeliner then you should be allowed. but otherwise you will be attracting attention from much older guys ( which is what your mom is worried about) and that could lead to bad things. they could kidnap you, molest you, rape you. you have to be careful about how you present yourself and where you go.
Eyeliner, NO. Just because your friends are wearing that crap, doesnt mean you need too. The world is corrupt these days, young people wearing appealing stuff and whatnot.

I think that mascara is definitely okay, and eyeliner is only okay as long as you go light with it. Heavy stuff looks weird on pre-teens.


Just try to explain to your mom why you want to wear it. She's probably just hesitant to let her daughter grow up so quickly.

Yeah at your age i really did too.. I would just talk to your mom about how everyone does it. if she doesn't let you try to reason with her, say how about just mascara and some blush. trust me, guys like the more natural look better.
I think as long as it's light (the ';natural'; look) it's fine. You've got a ton of years to wear more make-up...take your time!
You should be ashamed. You are too young. Concentrate on your schoolwork rather than how you look. Beside, what makes you think anyone would be interested in you even if you had make up? If you are ugly, you are ugly. Makes ups won't help.
