Does The Election Of One African American Man, Make Up For Hundreds Of Years Of African-American Oppression?

I hate to play the race card here, but let's be honest. Does this do anything to make up for the great injustices of white Europeans?Does The Election Of One African American Man, Make Up For Hundreds Of Years Of African-American Oppression?
who cares? honestly WHO CARES?Does The Election Of One African American Man, Make Up For Hundreds Of Years Of African-American Oppression?
The 'blacks' are still controlled by 'the man', every time they cash that welfare check. Black woman choose to have kids out of wedlock, and into poverty. They oppressive themselves.
He shouldn't be there in the first place.
';it's been 200 years';? what are you talking aout? the country was still segregated in the south a little of fifty years ago. people were still getting lenched ang going to prison for crimes they didn't commit. i think people should learn history before making statements like that. not to mention that today the majority of prisoners are black even though the majority of crime is commited by whites. we still have a long way to go.

does it make up for it. who cares? that's not why he was elected.
I'm afraid Obama is more interested in the Muslims , than the African Americans, I just hope his inexperience, does not hurt the chances of other young and promising African Americans in future elections

I think Obama may have been a better president , if he had waited another 20 years and studied economics a little more, the problems we are facing now is the result of young inexperienced presidents the last 16 years***********************************
No, not until a competent one gets elected.

But your premise is sort of ridiculous.

When do Americans stop being blamed for something that happened over a hundred years ago?

Why could black men vote before women?

Sarah Palin is a better option, last year and anytime.
Nope

Lets give out reparations, 100 acres and a mule. Also, here have the millions of dollars you do not deserve.

Also, are you satisfied now?

No!?

(sarcasm)

get my point?
It's been what 200 years?

GET OVER IT. What more do you want?
Is it supposed to? I thought it was simply a matter of choosing the best candidate as judged by voters.
Yeah those horrible polish people really did Africans wrong didn't they?

Does the death of 100's of thousands in a war that ended slavery count for anything in your score card? What about white civil whites workers, affirmative action, Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome, and on and on and on.

You keep score your way and I'll keep it my way.
no african american has oppressed me...I dont get the question
Yes now that we got that out of the way , we don't need another one , for a few hundred years.
I would hope so, I'm tired of hearing them whining about s**t they've never actually experienced.
hate to play it my @$$

get their reperations?
he isnt American and he is white as well....
Does the death of 300,000 Union dead make up for it enough for u to say thanks?
It better. We're sure paying through the nose for it.
We who are living today can not undo injustices of the past. We were not around when those things took place.
That debt has been paid many times over. Time to move on!
If an honest man was elected, yes, but Obama is anything but.He is another Bush.
Yes.

Move on.
No-because Obama said he hated his ';white side'; so the same old bigotry exists-just in a different form.
Each day is a new day. Black freedom has been fully realized in this country for 4 decades. There is nothing to make up for. We need only treat each individual as our fellow human beings. Race is not a factor. Obama is not a Black President. He's the President.
