Is it true that shimmering make-up makes your skin age faster?

apparently if you put glitery/shimmering make-up on or use heavy foundation your skin ages faster? Is it true that shimmering make-up makes your skin age faster?
It doesn't necessarily make your skin age faster. If you wear shadows and blushes with heavy sparkles or glitter in them, they have a tendency to fall deep into the natural creases of your skin, making you look older than you really are. Heavy foundation does the same thing. It also makes you look like you're wearing too much make up. It's best to stick with a lighter foundation (I use a tinted moisturizer during the summer with SPF 15, and a light full coverage one during winter) and eye shadows and blushes that are matte or pearl to avoid the deep creasing that makes you look older. Is it true that shimmering make-up makes your skin age faster?
In ancient times make up was used to protect the skin from the sun, for example Cleopatra. Today it has a different purpose, that is, to make us women, look beautiful than we already are :P now, beauty apart it still is a form of protection, agains sun, toxins in the air and other things. Now if it is a form of protection against the rays of the sun, uv rays, it cannot really make us age faster. But then again good make up has to be chosen, today we know that some contents in some make up can cause other problems that are worst than aging skin. And it's important to cleanse and moisturize our face regularly to prevent it from drying, as dryness makes our skin look older. So considering everything glitters and foundation doesn't really ages skin faster.
Only if you dont wash it off at night.
